Score the row before you become attached to it. A strong candidate answers at least six of the seven checks below; four or five needs more research, while three or fewer should leave the shortlist for now.
Begin with destination match: confirm the domain, item title, option, photos, and source context before scoring anything else.
The seven-point checklist
- The item belongs in the category I am browsing.
- Photos show the details that matter for this product type.
- Sizing, measurements, or fit notes are visible when needed.
- Price makes sense beside similar finds.
- Shipping weight does not ruin the value.
- The row is not just hype or a vague label.
- I can explain why I would save this find.

QC photos by category
Shoes and sneakers
Look for both sides, toe, heel, outsole, insole or size label, and close-ups of the joins that matter to you.
Clothing
Front and back views are not enough when fit matters. Look for a readable measurement method, fabric texture, cuffs, hems, closures, and interior labels.
Bags and accessories
Check scale, dimensions, seams, corners, handles, hardware, closures, lining, and removable parts.
Electronics
Photos should show connector type, model or compatibility marks, included items, and condition. Images do not prove safe operation.

Good row example
“Olive overshirt — size chart and detail set”
The row identifies the category and color, links a measurement chart, shows buttons, cuffs, hem, and fabric close-ups, and includes a source link that matches the item. Its price is compared with two similar shirts. Packed weight still needs confirmation, so the row stays a candidate rather than a conclusion.
Weak row example
“Top quality green shirt”
There is one front image, no measurements, no source context, and no note explaining how the price compares. The category is broadly correct, but the row cannot answer a fit or evidence question.
One-sentence save rule
Save a row only when you can finish this sentence: “I am keeping this because the visible evidence shows ___, and I still need to confirm ___.”
What to do next
If the row passes, compare it with two nearby options in the same category. If weight or packed size could change the decision, read the shipping guide before leaving the shortlist.
